Education

Most of my learning has occurred in classes and workshops, over the past 10 years or so. Feel lucky to have had excellent instruction and amazing teachers. I do not consider myself to be self taught, because my teachers have had such an impact on my work! However, want to give myself credit for doing the work, including hundreds if not thousands of drawings from life. It takes knowledge and practice to create skills and I have definitely dedicated myself to it. Spending time with other artists in studio or en plein air gives me connection and purpose. Deeply grateful for instruction from Tara Will, both in-person and online. She has been a mentor to me and is a huge influence on my work. Her spirit and joy for making art is contagious! I feel free to express myself, after studying with her. How lucky am I to pursue my passion!
